Godfall Goes Gold Ahead of PS5 Launch Day Release
Godfall becomes one of the first next-gen games to go gold.
Godfall was one of the most notable announcements at last years Game Awards. The title, which is being published by Borderlands’ publisher Gearbox, was one of the first games confirmed to be coming to next-gen platforms. More recently, the “looter-slasher” was revealed during Sony’s PlayStation 5 reveal event as a launch title for the PS5 and will be hitting the platform on November 12.
The good news doesn’t stop there for the game though. Announced via the official Godfall Twitter account, the game has now gone gold on PS5. Developers Counterplay shared the message saying that they, and Gearbox Publishing, “can’t wait to ascend alongside you on PS5 in November.”
We're proud to share that Godfall's officially gone gold on PlayStation 5! ⚔

Godfall has received a host of gameplay trailers since it was announced. The game, which is also coming to PC as an Epic Games Store exclusive, sees you take on the role of one of the last of the Valorian knights, wielding massive melee weapons to stop a catastrophic event.
The game joins a host of other high profile titles on the PS5 launch line up, many of which were announced during Sony’s most recent PlayStation 5 presentation. The other launch titles include Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which is also releasing on PS4, Bluepoint’s Demon’s Souls remake and Sackboy: A Big Adventure.
Despite having an impressive launch line-up, wannabe PS5 owners are struggling to pre-order consoles to play the games on. Although Jim Ryan has stated that there will be more PS5’s at launch than there were PS4’s, prospective owners are having a difficult time finding them. This rings especially true for the digital edition which has been almost impossible to grab.
if you are one of the lucky ones who’s managed to nab a PS5, Godfall will be launching alongside it on November 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea and on November 19 in the UK and the rest of the world.
