According to a tweet from Capcom UK, the Gold Mega Man amiibo (announced via the previous Nintendo Direct) will be North America-exclusive. The amiibo is bundled with Mega Man Legacy Collection for Nintendo 3DS in North America.

Fortunately, Capcom has confirmed that Mega Man Legacy Collection's amiibo-unlocked content will still be available for those with the regular Mega Man amiibo. Unfortunately, collectors will need to import the bundle from North America.

Nintendo is not a stranger to region-exclusive amiibo. On September 25th Nintendo released two versions of R.O.B. -- an NES-themed one for North America/Europe and a Famicom-themed one for Japan. Amiibo hunters looking to complete their collections have had to import from the other respective regions.
