GOG (aka Good Old Games) has been a keen destination for picking up some vintage titles for PC and Mac, and with the holidays coming up, the online store is looking to give a little something to gamers in order to give even more back to charity and support those that need it during the coming months.
The site has posted an offer eligible for this week that features a selection of PC/Mac titles that gamers can get for a total $5 price, but with the proceeds going to support various charitable organizations and groups. For the charity offer, GOG is offering a selection of ten games, which allows players to pick three of them for $5, or also purchase additional games for $1.67 each:
- Creatures: Village
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
- The Whispered World
- Waking Mars
The proceeds from the bundle purchased will go toward a charity of choice: World Wildlife Fund, Worldbuilders, and Gaming for Good, all internationally-chartered organizations that provide support for the environment, taking on worldwide poverty, and more. GOG has also waived transaction fees, and developers have also done the same for their royalties, so that all of the profits received from the games will be going in full to the organizations mentioned.
For those looking to bulk up their PC/Mac libraries while also supporting a good cause in the process, head on over to GOG to check out their selection of games on offer in the name of charity. The offer on GOG runs until Tuesday, November 12th, 2013.
