In the past few weeks, all eyes have been on Google as the company recently teased that it would be preparing a big announcement next week at GDC 2019 tied to gaming. Combined with the news that former Ubisoft and EA exec Jade Raymond would be coming to the company as a vice president, Google appears to be gearing up even more with big gaming-oriented news with the announcement that several notable companies will be contributing to the company's scheduled programming at GDC 2019.Over on the Google Developers account on Twitter, the company revealed that id Software (makers of the upcoming RAGE 2 with Bethesda Softworks and Avalanche Studios) and Ubisoft will be featured at the company's Developer Day sessions during GDC 2019.Both sessions with id and Ubisoft are scheduled after Google's anticipated keynote presentation on March 19, 2019, and while it's unknown yet whether or not the companies will have anything specific planned that might tie in to Google's gaming plans, we won't have to wait too much longer to know for sure. After last week's tease from Google that it would reveal something gaming-oriented at GDC 2019, most speculation and rumors have pointed to the potential that Google may enter the console market with some form of hardware of their own, or the presentation will (likely) share new details on the company's efforts to drive streaming of video games on other devices.
