Google Stadia Price, Games, and Other Launch Information to be Divulged this Summer
Google has announced when it will have more to say about its upcoming Stadia platform.
News on Google’s new game streaming platform has been relatively quiet since it was first revealed earlier this year at GDC 2019. That said, it doesn’t seem like it’ll be too much longer until Google is ready to start sharing more news on the product.
In a new tweet from the official Google Stadia account today, it was announced that the latest information on the platform is set to be divulged later this summer. The tweet specifically stated that three big details regarding Stadia are set to be announced at that time: the price, launch information, and the games that will be playable on the service.
As Google stated in the tweet itself, these three things are really the main pieces of info that potential purchasers of Stadia have been asking for since it was first unveiled. Even though Google announced quite a bit about the platform months ago at GDC, there are still many questions left to be had about this new venture.
Most notably, in my own opinion, I’m interested in seeing what first-party titles Google might have cooking up. The company has its own development wing led by former EA and Ubisoft developer Jade Raymond but it has yet to divulge just who is involved with this section of Stadia. While a price would definitely be a welcome announcement, as with most gaming platforms, I’m personally more interested in seeing what games it will offer.
So what do you think about Stadia? What potential pricing or game announcements would you need to see in order to become interested in the product? Be sure to give me your hottest takes down in the comments below. As of now, Google Stadia is still planned to launch at an undetermined date later this year.
This summer, three of the wishes you’ve been asking for will finally be granted:
💰 Price Reveal
🎮 Game Announcements
🚀 Launch Info
Stay tuned here for more Stadia details coming soon.
