Dick Grayson, the first Robin, finds himself having to keep his dysfunctional family together in Gotham Knights. With Bruce Wayne presumed dead, Nightwing has to take charge and bring the Batfamily together to protect Gotham.
No superhero game is complete without costume variety, and Dick Grayson has his fair share to choose from. Not every costume in Warner Bros. latest open-world action game is a homerun hit, however, and when it comes to Nightwing, looks matter a lot.
10 Knight Ops
Lacking the colors and design queues of Nightwing's usual outfits, the Knight Ops stands strong on its own. While seemingly taking inspiration from Mortal Kombat's Kabal, the red and green pallette works as a unique design, but feels greatly out of place for Nightwing to be wearing.
9 9. Year One
Year One's simplified and experimental look works as an early suit for Nightwing to wear, but the purple-tinted under-shirt doesn't match well with the rest of the outfit. For someone as fashion-focused, for better or worse, as Dick Grayson, the outfit falls short of the concept its presenting.
A more striking and familiar early suit for Nightwing could be the 'Disco-wing' outfit from Dick Grayson's time leading the Teen Titans in the 1980's.
8 Privateer
Another suit that lacks the slivers, grays, blacks and blues of Nightwing, but the Privateer suit comes off as more striking and high-end, which works well for Dick Grayson. The pirate motif is on full display, and the suit jackets, belts and collars do Nightwing justice, allowing him to swing across Gotham in unusual, but stylish, fashion.
7 Neon Noir
Bright and in-your-face, the Neon Noir suit is simple but effective. The varying shades of gray and blue are distributed nicely, and the simple design, lacking pouches, belts or other extremities, is suiting for an acrobat and gymnast like Dick Grayson. It's far from the best, but Neon Noir has a place in Nightwing's wardrobe.
6 Eternal
Metallic armor over a high-tech undersuit is a hard combination to get wrong, and Eternal does a fine job. The color breakup with hints of beige kevlar is surprisingly fitting for this muted color scheme.
The Eternal suit is a little dry in terms of flair and design, but this metallic menace of a suit can look divine when the neon signs and lighting of Gotham City illuminate it during a fight.
5 Beyond
Sleek and futuristic, the Beyond outfit strikes a powerful silhouette that uses Nightwing's usual colors in a new form.
Form-fitting but seemingly metallic, this suit is a beautiful example of a future-period Nightwing design. While it can look out of place in modern-period Gotham City, seeing the suit in action is more than worth the minor disparity in aesthetic.
4 Titan
The Titan suit is absolutely gorgeous, showcasing color and tint variety while using only shades of black and gray to create a striking outfit for Nightwing.
While the lack of any blue coloring holds the suit back slightly, the otherwise perfect rendition of a traditional Nightwing suit is applause-worthy. If players are going to use a non-blue suit, this is the one to go for.
3 Default
Sometimes the default costume just works, and Dick Grayson's default suit is no exception. A tactical suit with the Nightwing logo and cutouts to keep Grayson nimble and aerodynamic as he flies and twirls in combat and traversal.
The developers made this the default outfit for a reason, it stands strong as a solid representation of the character, but leaves itself open to alteration or replacement by other suits as the game progresses.
2 Knighthood
Another excellent use of color and material separation, now with added color. The blue outline of the Nightwing logo shines bright against the matte and metallic blacks of the suit.
This creates an identifiable yet downplayed logo for Dick Grayson compared to full-color logos on other uniforms. The Knighthood suit is minimalism done in style, a perfect suit for Nightwing.
1 Knightwatch
Variation and experimentation are always nice, but it almost always comes back to the classic comic suits. Nightwing's standard comic suit is one of the most iconic in all of DC, and its silhouette is done without added detail or physical additions.
A black bodysuit, blue mask, and blue shoulder details that run down the chest and arms are all Dick Grayson needed to become an icon.
