Grab a Free Ride with Star Citizen This Weekend; PAX East Demo Available Until Tomorrow
With a record-setting Kickstarter campaign and the more recent news that the game’s main client will be a hefty 100GB download, Star Citizen is clearly set to reach for the stars, and this weekend you can hop into the cockpit and take the game for a spin.
After offering attendees of last weekend’s PAX East 2015 a go with the game, a free demo of Star Citizen is available to play this weekend for those looking to jump into the space simulator experience – click here to head to the demo’s redemption page, and once there, create a Star Citizen account and use code “PAXEASTFREEFLY2K15” to access the game and get to downloading.
Be warned – the game’s demo still comes in at a pretty intimidating 20GB download (only one-fifth of the total size that the final game will reportedly be), and the demo will only be available until tomorrow, March 15th – if you want to jump in, start downloading and get ready.
Star Citizen is currently in development by Cloud Imperium Games on PC and Linux, and set to release in 2016.
