Back in February, Cygames and Platinum Games announced through statements that Platinum Games is no longer involved with the development of Granblue Fantasy: Relink, the PS4 action RPG based on Granblue Fantasy, one of the most popular mobile games out there. This week's Famitsu magazine has an update on the game.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is mostly being developed inside Cygames' Osaka office. Cygames has been hiring new personnel, and the number of developers working on the game in the Osaka office alone is currently as big as when Platinum Games still was on the project.

Moreover, Cygames is still adding more people on Granblue Fantasy: Relink's development team, and it's scheduled to grow even more, greatly speeding up the game's development, and ensuring us players will get a great game to enjoy.

Back in December, many new details were revealed on Granblue Fantasy: Relink, including new gameplay, details on its story and its multiplayer mode.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is a PS4 exclusive and was supposed to launch in 2018 before getting delayed. The game has currently no release date estimate, but it seems we won't have to wait that long now. Cygames also mentioned in the past they are interested in bringing the game to PC via Steam but are currently focusing on releasing the PS4 version first.

Cygames is also co-developing with Arc System Works a Granblue Fantasy 2D fighting game, titled Granblue Fantasy Versus. New characters included in its roster are regularly revealed with new trailers, the last one being Lowain.
