Today, Cygames revealed a new character in Arc System Works' upcoming fighting game Granblue Fantasy Versus. Lowain will be joining the game's roster and is the first character to be revealed since Versus was first shown off back in December of 2018. Over on Granblue Fantasy Versus' official website, we've gotten a new description for Lowain:

A free spirit who was all about his part-time job, a good gab sesh with the boys, and a dash of adventure every now and then. That all changed when Katalina visited the restaurant where he worked. It was infatuation at first sight. Determined to follow her, he quit his job and began a new life as the cook on Gran's crew.

He's a fair hand with a dagger, but with his buddies Elsam and Tomoi there to run interference and baffle opponents, he can really ruin an enemy's day... probably.

Granblue Fantasy Versus is set in the same universe as Cygames' mega-popular Japanese mobile title Granblue Fantasy. It's one of two titles that'll bring the series over to home consoles. The other is an action-RPG called Granblue Fantasy Relink. 

Granblue Fantasy Versus is set to launch worldwide for PS4 sometime this year. Cygames director Tetsuya Fukuhara has expressed interest in bringing the game to PC via Steam at some point in the future, however, no official announcement has been made.
