The last two Grand Theft Auto games to be released on the PSP/PS2, Liberty City Stories & Vice City Stories, are set to be re-released on the PlayStation 3's PlayStation Network. Both games were originally released in 2005 and 2006 for the PSP, with their eventual PS2 ports being released a year later, respectively. Both games also serve as prequels to their respective city; Rockstar Games have released the synopses of each title:

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories

The streets of Liberty City are in turmoil. Warring mafiosi vie for control as the town begins to self-destruct under waves of political corruption, organized crime, drug trafficking and union strikes. No one can be trusted as Toni tries to clean up the mess of the city's chaotic underworld. Deranged hit men, morally depraved tycoons, cynical politicians and his own mother stand in his way as Toni tries to bring the city under Leone control.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories & Vice City Stories will be available next week for $9.99 each, next week. The developer/publisher has also announced that more Rockstar titles are set to be released PSN in the near-futured; what does this leave? Oni? Red Dead Revolver?
