Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Goes Mobile Next Month
Following the mobile releases of both Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the mobile release of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was more than imminent. Rockstar Games has announced that a mobile version of the game will be released next month for iOS, Android, Amazon Kindle, and Windows Mobile devices.
Among the perks of this new mobile re-release are touch controls and full controller support in the Made for iOS functionality in iOS7. There will also be a reworked checkpoint system to track progress in addition to remastered graphics – complete with dynamic and detailed shadows – along with a greater draw distance, enriched color palette, and enhanced character and car models.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was originally released for the PlayStation 2 on October 26th, 2004. The game was soon ported to PC and Xbox, as well as a digital release on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and Mac OS X some years later.
