Grand Theft Auto V Scheduled For Release Next Spring, No PC Version Mentioned

Rockstar just sent out the announcement that many gamers were waiting for. Grand Theft Auto V is now officially set to hit the shelves worldwide next spring.

The game will feature an extremely large and expansive world, as you can read in the official announcement itself:

Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V takes place in a re-imagined, present-day Southern California in the largest and most thriving game-world we have ever created set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and for miles beyond – from the tops of the mountains to the depths of the ocean.

Not everyone, though, will rejoice at the news, as the press release specifies clearly that the game will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360. It makes no mention of a PC version. Whether this means that the PC version will come later or won’t come at all is unknown. Your guess is as good as mine.

One thing is for sure. I can see a lot of unhappy faces because of that, right now. Mine is one of them.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
