I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm sure as hell a fan of strategy games.  Have been since the dawn of its existence, and I still go at it from time-to-time when I'm feeling like slamming my mouse when playing them on the PC.  But, I won't need to be abusing my poor ol' mouse anymore; looks like the PSN will be getting their very own turned-based strategy game - Greed Corp - and it sure looks nifty!  Anyone care to donate DualShock 3 controllers?

Greed Corp is an innovative turn-based strategy game announced today by W!Games for the PlayStation Network.  It is the first in a series of games situated in a rich, fictional world inspired by the industrial revolutions and the destructive effects on the environment.  The basics of the game involves balancing your resources.  You can either a) harvest your land for resources and get goodies (such as building up your army) while screwing yourself and your territory or b) you can preserve the land to help you stay alive.  You choose.  To pound your enemies out, you'll have a choice of either trampling them with the army you've built, or you can be a real bastard and destroy the land they inhabit.

The game itself features a comprehensive single player campaign, introducing you to the four factions that inhabit the world.  A large collection of unique maps are available outside of the campaign, specifically designed for 2, 3, or 4-player battles.  You can kick the crap out of people either locally, or trash-talk your opponent's ears off online.  And, of course, there's the AI - which allows quick games without the constant complaining of an actual person.  They sit there and receive - or give - butt whippings without any slur of speech.

Since we're such nice guys, we're going to hit you guys off some a nice little trailer and a couple of screens for you to dwell on for a bit after the jump.  Oh, and please, if you're a fan of this genre and think you've got what it takes to kick my butt when the game releases, feel free to send me a message.  I'd love nothing more than to ridicule you and hearing you yell how much my mother love to fornicate with wild horses and the such.

You can expect to get your hands on Greed Corp at the end of September 2009 only on the PSN.
