What sounds more like a feminist revolution is, in fact, a game announced today by Warner Bros. and DC. Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters promises action adventure with the game’s release coinciding with the upcoming feature film Green Lantern, which is scheduled for release Summer 2011. Not much is known about the game or the movie, aside from the fact that comedic actor Ryan Reynolds will be playing the role of Hal Jordan (aka Green Lantern) as he wields the power ring to, more than likely, save the universe from… ready? Evil villains! [gasp]

A teaser image of an almighty glowing ring has been provided to wet your taste buds above. Once we get more news – and images – surrounding the gamer and/or movie, we’ll make sure to throw them on the site for you guys to glance at. Until then, keep staring at the above underwhelming image of a glowing ring.

Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters is scheduled to release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS.
