Grimlock and Shockwave Have Unfinished Business In Transformers Ad Campaign

on September 12, 2012 6:00 PM

Actvision and High Moon studios today released a new site that brings the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons from Cybertron all the way to earth. At their “Transformers on Your Street” site, you can see how a fight between Grimlock and Shockwave would play out if it were filmed in the same fashion as a power rangers episode. Cheesy, but the site uses Google Street view to give you a glimpse of transformers in your front yard.

As far as ad campaigns go, it’s not too bad. At 27 years old, i’m probably not the target demographic for this type of thing, but I’d have likely flipped out at something like this in my younger days. They got the view from my bedroom window spot-on, plus they figured out I was white all along. Pretty crafty, Activision.
