With a sprinkle of inspiration from an old gem and a whole bucketful of intensity, the latest trailer for Caged Element's GRIP: Combat Racing captures game's raw speed and power.

GRIP: Combat Racing is a fast-paced, no holds barred thrill ride that allows players to drive along roads, walls, and ceilings without losing speed. The game bears an undeniable resemblance to 1999's classic Rollcage as the vehicles and tracks are strikingly similar to the format of those seen in the long-forgotten racer. The launch trailer shows the game in action as its bizarrely shaped cars rip through complex tracks opening fire on one another with an arsenal of different weapons including heavy machine guns and swarms of rockets.

The tight camera angle used throughout most of the pulse-pounding trailer makes the action feel all the more intense. Displaying first-hand what this genre of racer is capable of, the trailer shows cars rotating in mid-air, rushing through compact tunnels, and seamlessly transferring from one surface to another.

Released yesterday, GRIP: Combat Racing is now available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. If you'd like a more in-depth look at the game's unusual blend of vehicular acrobatics, combat, and high-speed racing then check out our review.
