GTA 5 received a brand new update today across all platforms, and while Rockstar has not shared the official patch notes, some dataminers have spotted Enhanced Edition files in the PC update of the game.

Grand Theft Auto 5 received an optimized version for the new PlayStation and Xbox consoles a few months back, which was accompanied by some special and unique features such as the GTA Plus subscription later on.

Thus far, Rockstar Games has been tight-lipped on the release of Enhanced Edition content and changes for PC, though a huge hint was revealed today with the game's brand new update that can almost confirm the enhancement patch for PC.

GTA 5 Enhanced Edition Files on PC Only Need an Activation from Rockstar Games

Today, Rockstar Games launched an update on all platforms for Grand Theft Auto 5. While there are no official patch notes yet, some next-gen players managed to find new features after the update such as a FOV Slider for consoles. However, the PC version of the game doesn't seem to change a lot, though dataminers spotted the Enhanced Edition files inside the PC update.

This obviously means that PC players have already received the Enhanced Edition changes, but they should wait until Rockstar Games activates the changes after an announcement. While there is no clue on the activation date, we can assume that Rockstar speak about the update this Thursday.

Also, it remains unknown whether the enhancement update would be free or come at a cost for PC players.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
