The new, unofficial GTA 5 Ray Tracing mod is the Enhanced Edition that you would love to see on PC. Let's take a deep look at the latest project from Digital Dreams.

For a game that launched later in 2013 and received a remaster for 8th-gen consoles a few years later, Grand Theft Auto 5 did look great at the time. However, with today's standards, the game doesn't look satisfying enough anymore. And that's where modding tools come to help.

Although Rockstar is going to launch an Enhanced Edition from GTA 5 later this year, you can probably get something even better on PC right now.

The latest attempt from GTA 5 modders has led to a stunning new visual enhancement for the game that looks jaw-dropping when running at 8K resolution using a giant RTX 3090 graphics card.

How to Get the GTA 5 Ray Tracing Mod

The gameplay that you watched above is a combination of different mods. First of all, you need to install the QuantV mod, which is available for free here.

Now, you need to get the Ray Tracing Reshading mod, which is available here, but you can't download it without subscribing to the creator's channel on Patreon.

Lastly, if you want to have the same cars and objects in the game, you'd better get the GTA V Real Life Pack as well, though it's not necessarily needed. (Thanks, DSOG!)

Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced Edition will be available on November 11 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There has no word on a PC version of the Enhanced Edition so far, though Rockstar Games could probably upgrade it with a free update.
