GTA 5 Online Update (Today, March 16 2021) - Version 1.54, Patch Notes and Load Times

Here are the current details on the latest GTA update.

GTA 5 and its online counterpart just can’t seem to slow down.

The game is the second best selling of all time, a few million behind Minecraft, and is still regularly in the monthly top 10 charts.

Not only that, the game continues to get new content and updates and is even heading to the PS5 and Xbox Series X very soon.

In terms of updates, the game received a new one today. Here’s everything you need to know about the GTA 5 Update on March 16.

What’s changing?

This update is a very interesting one. A member of the GTA V Online community, known as t0st, found a big issue with GTA’s code. This meant that loading into the game was far, far slower than it could and should have been.

Rockstar then looked into t0st’s findings and realised that he was in fact correct. In turn, Rockstar is now implementing the suggested changes into the game and have rewarded t0st with a $10k bounty for his work.

When is the game coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X?

Unfortunately, since it was announced last year, we have had no real new info about the next-gen versions of GTA V. It is slated for a 2021 release date still, so hopefully it won’t be too long.
