Grand Theft Auto Online's Diamond Casino and Resort Opens for Business Next Week

Grand Theft Auto Online finally gets a local casino. It comes with numerous gambling opportunities and brand-new, co-op story missions.

Grand Theft Auto Online has been out for nearly six years. During that time, the team at Rockstar has been pumping out content almost as fast as they sell Shark cards, adding just about everything you could think of to the game. The one thing they haven’t added? A casino. That changes next week with the release of the long-teased Diamond Casino and Resort update. Give the new trailer a watch below.

The Diamond is a massive building with tons to do. Of course, it is, at its heart, a casino. That means anyone looking to gamble away their hard-earned cash will have plenty of options. The casino has three card poker, blackjack, and roulette. You can also try your hand at different slot machines and bet on virtual horses at Inside Track. Finally, everyone gets a daily spin on the Lucky Wheel to hopefully win a brand-new, high-end supercar.

The casino floor is only a part of the update. If you want to indulge in “true luxury”, the top floors of The Diamond houses various penthouse suites. These master suites give you access to the club’s VIP zones, which let you join high-limit tables and call in a personal aircraft service. Your penthouse is fully upgradeable and The Diamond has countless pieces of modern art for you to use in decoration. Plus, Brucie is there. And truly, who doesn’t love that steroided-out loser?

It isn’t all fun and games at The Diamond though. Once you become a VIP, you join the Diamond family. Owner Tao Cheng is the patriarch of said family and he desperately needs your help. A family of corrupt Texans is trying to engage in a hostile takeover and you’ll need to grab a few friends to help save The Diamond.

The Diamond Casino and Resort looks like a fun addition to Grand Theft Auto Online. Fortunately, we don’t have to wait long as it will be out on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on July 23.
