Today, Rockstar Games announced that GTA Online's Festive Surprise 2016 update is live, brining a slab of new festive items and rewards. In addition to all the new content, Rockstar also revealed that all previous content from past GTA Online Christmas events will return.

The update will bring new seasonally-themed sweaters and hats, along with the return of the classic Masks, Santa outfits, and other festive clothing, all which can be added to your inventory for free now through January 9th. The sophisticated Bold Pinstripe Smoking Jacket and Pajamas are also available as free unlocks just for signing into the game before January 2nd.

With the new update, Rockstar also highlighted that new bodysuits will be available to purchase at clothing stores, each containing illumination settings to glow, pulse or flash. Additionally, the Firework Launcher has returned to shelves at Ammu-Nation to help you celebrate the holidays with some good ol' explosives.

Further, via Benny's Original Motor Works, supercars Truffade Nero and Nero Custom, are available for purchase. Rockstar also teased players to keep their eyes open throughout the holiday season for more special vehicles inventory at Benny's, as part of GTA Online: Import/Export.

Players can also enjoy double RP and GTA$ in the new Turf Wars Adversary mode (which has been extended to December 22nd), and triple RP (regardless of where you finish) in the latest premium stunt race, Plummet (which will run until January 2nd).

The following items have also been discounted in-game by 25 percent:

Vehicles: Enus Super Diamond, Nagasaki Shotaro, Resprays and Neons

Air Travel: Buckingham Nimbus and Volatus

Real Estate: Eclipse Towers Penthouses, Stilt Houses and High End Apartment Interiors

Ammu-Nation: Compact Grenade Launcher, Sweeper Shotgun, Mini SMG and Compact Rifle

Lastly, Rockstar announced its #FESTIVESURPRISE2016 Snapmatic Contest. Tag relevant pics with #FESTIVESURPRISE2016 on Social Club for a chance to be one of five chosen Snapmatic photographers, who will each receive a hearty holiday bonus of GTA$1,000,000. Valid submissions must be taken between today and 11:59 PM ET on Monday, January 2nd.
