It's pretty exciting to think of what a GTA Vice City remake could look like with today's incredibly powerful gaming platforms. Although we might never see an official remake for Vice City, an unofficial mod is already available.

Currently, Grand Theft Auto 5 is the latest entry of the series that launched back in 2013. Although Rockstar Games still supports GTA 5 with new content, it's been seven years since the last time we got a new Grand Theft Auto entry. This is the largest gap between two entries of the franchise and it would apparently become larger as well.

Not only we haven't received a new GTA yet, but also there is also no official information around a new entry as well. This makes fans a little bit nervous and disappointed about the future of the series.

That being said, modders are there to make things a little bit comfortable for fans and let them enjoy new, unofficial updates.

GTA Vice City Remake Mod for GTA 5

The latest big drop in the list of GTA 5 mods is about a Vice City map. Of course, the mod is not a detailed recreation of Vice City, but it's probably the closest thing to a remake that is available right now.

Despite the messy and unfinished design of buildings, the lighting of the city during daytime and the neon lights at night will remind you of Vice City's signature atmosphere.

On the other hand, the mod also uses some iconic cars from the original GTA Vice City that makes it tough ignore the mod without trying it out for once.
