Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition Receiving Four Player Co-Op Early Next Year on PS4

December 24, 2014

Drinbox Studios’ Metroidvania inspired platformer Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition will be receiving four player co-op on the PS4 in a new update, taking the game to new levels of chaotic, lucha libre fun.

In a recent post on the Playstation Blog, Drinkbox Studios’ Chris McQuinn wrote that the PS4 version of the game will be receiving an update to add four player co-op “sometime in the new year” and that it is as “hectic and crazy as it sounds.” The update for PS4 is not the only Guacamelee! news though, as McQuinn revealed that co-op is being added to the original version of the game and that they are making it compatible with the PlayStation TV. Fans who already own Guacamelee! for PS3 and PS Vita will also be receiving it for free on PS TV.

You can pick up Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition now on PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U and PC.
