Many are wondering about the heavily rumored open world RPG for PS4 in the works at Guerrilla Games, and today industry insider Shinobi602, who already demonstrated his reliability multiple times, mentioned that a trailer is ready for E3, but it may or may not be shown depending on external factors.
There’s a trailer ready, but whether it’s shown or not depends on other things. They can change literally hours before.
That’s actually more normal than people think, as “reserve” teaser trailers for games to be released further in the future are often prepared for press conferences, and switched-in if something closer to release can’t be shown for whatever reason, or to react to strong moves by the competition.
Shinobi also mentioned earlier today that the new IP has a red-headed female progatonist, robot dinosaurs, lush environments and other exotic creatures. As he said yesterday, it definitely sounds like a quite unique title.
Yet, we can only hope to see it at E3, because the possibility for it to skip the show exists. I personally wouldn’t be surprised to see it appear at Gamescom instead. Sony needs to keep something for the European trade show in August, after all, and a reveal at Gamescom could prove a good card to play against Quantum Break.
