Today Arc System Works announced with a press release that the original Guilty Gear is coming to modern consoles.

The game will be released for PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam, and it’s not a remaster. It’s a port of the original title. You can check out what it looks like in the gallery below.

Guilty Gear first launched in 1998 for the original PlayStation, starting a series that accompanied us all the way to this generation with Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- and its recent Rev 2 update.

At the moment there is no specific information on a release date or on possible additional mode or features, which the press release promises for a later time.

That being said, it looks like a good look at the origins of a legendary fighting franchise for those who came after the first PlayStation generation.

You can enjoy the screenshots below, alongside the original key art of the game. We’ll keep you posted as soon as more info is shared.
