Bug fixes and known issues.

July 1, 2022

Guilty Gear Strive update 1.19 is now live across all platforms, bringing new fixes to some of the fighters as well as promising network fixes for the future.

After almost an hour of maintenance, the new hotfix update is now available for Guilty Gear Strive on PS4, PS5, and PC. This new update fixes some issues with May, Faust, Zato-1, and I-NO.

Unfortunately, the new update doesn’t improve the online play, but Arc System promises to bring huge improvements to Network Play, including a significant reduction in matchmaking as well as tweaked stability.

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

It’s yet to be seen when the network fixes will be available, but the development team made it clear that they will be applying these tweaks gradually. So, you probably shouldn’t expect a big overhaul anytime soon.

Down below, you can check out the full patch notes for Guilty Gear Strive update 1.19:

System:

  • Fixed a camera bug that would sometimes occur when performing a Homing Jump during the counter hit effect.

May:

  • Fixed a bug that would sometimes occur when the opponent’s Overdrive super flash activated while the player was holding down the button for Mr. Dolphin Vertical.

Faust

  • Fixed a bug where the afro would fail to explode under certain conditions.
  • Fixed a bug where the banana peel would fail to hit under certain conditions.
  • Fixed a bug from the Ver. 1.18 update where the character would sometimes be blown back in an unintended direction after the banana peel hits.

Zato-1

  • Fixed a bug where Eddie would sometimes disappear regardless of the remaining Eddie Gauge.

Ramlethal Valentine

  • Fixed a bug where the damage setting for the final hot of Calvados would sometimes be applied multiple times.

I-NO

  • Fixed a bug from the Ver. 1.18 update that made it possible for her to block or back dash directly after her dash begins.

Issues with Network Play

  • Improvements coming to network connection errors, disconnections, difficulty matching, and long connection wait times in the future.

Player R-Codes Changed During Play

  • A fix will be available in the future for an issue on Steam causing the game to crash and the player’s name to change when restarting the game.
