When Arc System Works revealed Guilty Gear Xrd, Japanese fans probably thought of the many hours they’re going to spend playing the game in arcades. North American fans on the other hand probably immediately imagined a home console release of the game. If and when the game does get ported to consoles, it will probably be on the PS4, Xbox One and Wii U compared to the PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii.

Arc System Works president Minoru Kidooka disclosed that the company is considering releasing the game for “the next generation” of home consoles. He also says that we’ll probably learn more about the game when Daisuke Ishiwatari appears at next year’s E3. That seems like such a long time away, but I’m sure we’ll see more of the game at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.

I’d love to see Guilty Gear Xrd on next gen consoles. What do you guys think?
