Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- by Arc System Works is one of the best looking upcoming games for PS4, and today I had the chance to interview the game's General Director Daisuke Ishiwatari, who gave me some information about the game's performance.

According to Ishiwatari-san the original Arcade version runs on high spec hardware, so it was quite difficult to port the game to PS3. On the other hand it was really easy to translate to PS4, without thinking about hardware limitations.

The PS4 version, which (as we already knew) runs at 1080p and 60 frames per second, actually looks better than the original arcade version, which already looks amazing, but is limited to 720p.

Considering how many developers are having trouble holding full 60 frames per seconds, I asked Ishiwatari-san how stable the frame rate is, and I was told that igt's "very stable."

Given that the game looks very impressive, that's definitely a technical achievement worthy of praise. Having tried the PS4 port on the show floor at Tokyo Game Show, i can definitely say that it runs smooth as silk.

Of course Ishiwatari-san told me a lot more, but you'll have to wait the full interview to read all about that, coming soon here on DualShockers.
