Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus R on Nintendo Switch Delayed to 2019

Arc System Works has apologized for not fulfilling a 2018 release for Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus R on Switch and promise a 2019 delivery.

Arc System Works announced Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus R for Nintendo Switch in April of this year for a release date sometime in 2018, but have now come out to apologize and say that they will miss 2018 and will deliver the game in 2019.

This will be the first Guilty Gear game on the Switch and a re-release of Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core which originally released in Japanese arcades in 2006. Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus R includes 25 different characters that will have been reworked and rebalanced for a modern release. Gameplay modes include: Survival Mode, Mission Mode, Versus Mode, Training Mode, and Gallery Mode which lets you view around 100 illustrations. Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus R includes online and offline multiplayer on Nintendo Switch with Ranked Matches and Player Matches for those who want to be competitive and those who don’t.

Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus R released as an arcade update in 2013 and came to Vita later that year. A patch for PlayStation 3’s version of the game to update the prior version was released for North America in 2014. Surprisingly an Xbox 360 update was released prior to the PlayStation 3 patch in 2013. A Steam port was released in 2015.
