Guitar Hero Joins Civilization at the Grammys

You read that right. We were thrilled to break the news last week that music from Civilization IV was nominated to receive a Grammy award. As if one game going to the Grammys wasn’t momentous enough, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock has also been nominated for a gold plated record player. The song “Sudden Death” as recorded by metal artist Megadeath is up for the Grammy for “Best Metal Performance”.

They will compete with big names like Korn, Lamb of God, Iron Maiden and Slayer. Will Chris Tin and Megadeath both make more history by winning these awards? You’ll have to tune in to the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards on February 13th to find out. This proves that next year will be a fantastic year for gaming.
