New Gundam SEED Manga, Anime, and Game
To celebrate the upcoming 20th anniversary of 2002’s Gundam SEED anime, Bandai Namco announced the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Ignited.
As part of the new initiative, the studio announced three new projects centered around the legendary anime; a new manga, a film, and a mobile game.
The new manga, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Eclipse, will release worldwide in July. As reported by Anime News Network, the upcoming manga’s story is set between the “missing two years between the two wars.”
A new Gundam SEED movie is also in the making, which was initially announced back in 2006. The movie is supposed to serve as a sequel to the TV series.
For some reason, we didn’t hear anything about the movie since the announcement. But fortunately, now it’s confirmed that the new movie is in production.
However, there’s no official release window for the movie, and we’ll hear more about the project in the future.
Finally, Bandai Namco also announced a Gundam SEED mobile game. Of course, we don’t have any details on the upcoming game, and it’s too soon to assume that the game is already in development.
Anyway, Bandai Namco confirmed that they’d release more information on the upcoming mobile game pretty soon. So, let’s wait and get back to seeing the original anime to be ready for what’s ahead.
