Speedrunner Gvirus Zipping through Metroidvania Games for Charity this Weekend

No Reset Marathons is a Canadian organization founded by Dimitrios “Gvirus” Lianopoulos in order to promote the speedrunning scene while raising money for charities. One of the games that Dimitrios is notable for blasting through is Axiom Verge. The man behind the indie hit, Thomas Happ, had a child with his wife, Chloe; Allistair was born with Kernicterus, a brain dysfunction that has had a major impact on his motor skills.

Dimitrios was moved by the Happ family’s struggles and decided to use No Reset Marathons to raise money for the Kernicterus Research Fund. Gvirus will be speedrunning through metroidvania games like/including Axiom Verge all weekend at Meltdown Montreal. The entire event is being live-streamed through No Reset’s twitch channel.

Donations are available through PayPal and directly via credit card. Gvirus is currently running through Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse which convinced me to donate some doubloons for this worthy cause.
