GWENT: The Witcher Card Game's Closed Beta Registration Is Ending Soon

CD PROJEKT RED has announced the end of Closed Beta registration for GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. News about the Open Beta will be coming next week.

The minds behind The Witcher game series, CD PROJEKT RED, have announced that the registration for the Closed Beta of GWENT: The Witcher Card Game will soon be ending.

Closed Beta registrations for GWENT are currently open here, but after this weekend, no one will be allowed to sign-up. Anyone who has redeemed their invites before or during the weekend will continue to have active access to the game.

This is the end of one milestone for the game, but CD PROJEKT RED’s Development Director Benjamin Lee had this to say about the game’s progress as a result of everyone’s hard work.

“Throughout Closed Beta, we’ve reworked and added a huge amount of features and mechanics to GWENT. Balance changes, numerous tweaks of how cards work and how the game flows; additional cards, a new faction and ranked play — it was an amazing ride and GWENT’s community was with us all the way.

“I’d like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for the hours invested.”

Additionally, CD PROJEKT RED’s announcement notes that this move to end Closed Beta registrations marks the beginning of preparations for GWENT‘s Open Beta. More information on that will be revealed next week.

GWENT‘s gameplay is based on the mechanics of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt‘s in-game dueling deck constructor. The game will be free-to-play on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One when it releases, which is whenever CD PROJEKT RED feels the game is done.
