Today, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced with a press release the American launch date of the .hack//G.U. remaster .hack//G.U. Last Recode.

The game will release across the Americas on November 3rd, for PS4 and PC.

On top of the release date, we also get a new trailer, that on top of illustrating the story of the multi-media franchise, it gives the first animated look on the new Volume 4 added to the remaster. You can see it at the beginning and at the end of the video.

Keep in mind that what follows below can be considered a spoiler for those who have not played the first three volumes.

In the new episode, Haseo logs into The World R:2 for the first time in eighteen months after having quit the MMORPG. He learns that the game is going to close, and that he has only a few days to rescue Ovan from a giant ice pillar in which he is trapped.

He tries to break the pillar, but he fails, and then meets with his old friends from the Canard guild, who will accompany him in this new adventure to save Ovan before time runs out.

Haseo’s will also achieve a fifth form including a brand new weapon, and will meet Kusabira, a new character who is said to hold the key to this new story.

You can check out the trailer below, and also enjoy a large batch of recent screenshots, and the first trailer.
