Here’s something that was definitely worth showing at yesterday’s PlayStation E3 2017 press conference, and yet it wasn’t there.
This doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. As a matter of fact it is. What am I talking about? .hack//G.U. Last Recode, a remaster of the classic JRPG .hack//G.U. in development for PS4 and PC.
The game’s purpose is to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the .Hack series, and it will include brand new elements that weren’t present in the original game.
Development is as usual in the capable hands of CyberConnect2, under the publishing umbrella of Bandai Namco, with the original designer Hiroshi Matsuyama at the helm.

.hack//G.U. was originally released between 2006 and 2007 for PS2, split across three volumes: Rebirth, Reminisce and Redemption.
