Bandai Namco announced that .hack//G.U. Last Recode will launch as a retail PlayStation 4 disc in North America along with Europe and Japan's already confirmed physical release.

Last month, it was circulating around that .hack//G.U. Last Recode will release digital only in North America. However, Bandai Namco has confirmed that this is not the case and the publisher will launch the remastered trilogy of RPGs as a physical disc in the North American region.

.hack//G.U. Last Recode is a remaster of the .hack//G.U. trilogy, Rebirth, Reminisce and Redemption, containing reworked visual for 1080p graphics (including upscaling up to 4K), 60 FPS, and a lot of gameplay improvements to make the game fresher for modern audiences.

Additionally, the game's cinematics have also been touched up to a higher resolution, with improved ant-aliasing and shadows.

To see a comparison of the updates, the publisher released multiple screenshots recently.

Currently, the game is set to launch for PlayStation 4 and PC in Japan, North America, and Europe in 2017.
