Bandai Namco's Hajime No Ippo: The Fighting has a hidden versus mode which was recently revealed on the official website. In order to activate this mode, players will have to input this code: L1, R1, left on the D-pad, right on the D-pad, square, and circle.

Once the code has been inputted, the versus mode is unlocked. Unfortunately, Player 2 will be at a huge disadvantage. Player 1 has the ability to choose their own skill along with Player 2's skill and the camera only stays behind Player 1 which is another disadvantage for Player 2. Seems like there is no option for split screen either.

The game will also have a day one patch that speeds up loading times and fixes other bugs and issues.
