Hakuoki Cutting onto the Nintendo 3DS

Aksys has announced that the visual novel Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi will be hitting the Nintendo 3DS in North America. The game appears to be a 3DS port of Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi, which released for the PlayStation Portable (and eventually the PS Vita) back in February. Compared to the PSP version of the game, Memories of the Shinsengumi will contain new story sequences and it’ll make use of the consoles 3D functionality. It also appears to be more of a full on visual novel, whereas Warriors of the Shinsengumi was an action game with visual novel elements.

Furthermore, you’ll be able to take pictures with your favorite Shinsengumi heroes, though I’m not sure who’d want to do that. No release date is currently available for Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi.
