Idea Factory International revealed new character details for their otome visual novel Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds, coming to PlayStation Vita on May 16 in North America and May 19 in Europe.
The publisher introduces the three new characters in the series that were added to the Vita version of the game to broaden the world of Hakuoki and give fans more choices.
The three handsome cast members are:
- Ryouma Sakamoto - A handsome stranger and samurai that offers his help to Chizuru in her quest to find her father. However, his smooth attitude may prove that he has something to hide.
- Kazue Souma - A young samurai who distances himself from the Shinsengumi. Souma comes off as series and headstrong. Even with his feelings, Kondou invites him to join the Shinsengum as Chizuru's first student.
- Hachiro Iba - A samurai from Okuzume, the guards who protect the shogun. He claims he know Chizuru, but the could prove to not be true.
Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds is re-release of the Hakuoki visual novel that was released in 2008 and adds additional story content and characters, all remastered for the Vita. Set in Kyoto, players play as Chizuru who is searching for her father. Along the way she meets the samurai of Shinsengumi who can be romanced during the game.
