It's happening! Headcrab's will scuttle and Grigori will raise up his shotgun with a cheer — providing he lived! Yesterday we reported on the rumor that had started floating around about the possibility of a new Half-Life title from Valve. Shortly after posting that story, Valve went ahead and announced Half-Life: Alyx.As the rumor suggested, Half-Life: Alyx will be a VR title which is due to be officially revealed this Thursday at 10am PT. While the rumor seemed to indicate the reveal would take place at The Game Awards 2019, it's possible we'll see footage of the new game rather than a reveal as that's already happening.

There's not much else known about the new Valve game, but it's certainly causing a stir online. Fans are excited about the idea of a new Half-Life title after waiting for a new one to pop up since 2007 when Half-Life 2: Episode 2 landed. Other fans seem a bit miffed that the game seems to be VR exclusive.

The title suggests that the story will be centered around Gordon Freeman's pal, Alyx Vance. Whether or not we play as Gordon Freeman himself or take control of Alyx is another thing, although the rumor's we're seeing seem to claim the player plays as Alyx. It's also said to be launching in 2020, but we've also heard it'll be launching before 2019 is out.

We assume the reveal will take place on social media through the above account which seems to have been created earlier this year in June. It's also verified so you can rest assured this isn't a hoax.

What are your expectations for Half-Life: Alyx when it gets revealed on November 21?
