Old-school Halo players are in for a treat with the upcoming Winter update of Halo Infinite as the developer 343 Industries will add the re-created version of The Pit, the well-known multiplayer map from Halo 3, to the latest iteration of the franchise.

The Pit is one of the most memorable multiplayer maps in the Halo series, especially for competitive and Esports players of the game. Now, 343 Industries has remade this map in Halo Infinite using the power of the Forge mode. While Forge itself is set to be launched in the beta phase in November 2022, we have already spotted some incredible recreations in this sandbox mode by fans who have received early access to the mode.

That being said, the layout of the map remains the same. Currently, there is no official release date for The Pit, but it is expected to arrive in the game when the Forge mode launches on November 8 this year.

While the recreation of The Pit is already a great demo to showcase the power of Forge, 343 Industries has not officially unveiled the features of this mode yet. However, leaked footage from the Forge mode previously revealed some features such as the ability to combine weapons and create new super weapons. Also, we got to see a recreation of the Raccoon City environment inside the Forge mode a few months earlier.

As it appears, 343 Industries has put a lot of work into Forge and hopefully, it will be worth the long anticipation. That being said, the players will probably need to wait a bit longer for a complete and full version of the mode as it will be launched in the beta phase for now.

Halo Infinite Season 3 is supposed to be available in March 2023, delivering new multiplayer content. In addition to this, Certain Affinity is also working on a special new Halo Infinite project that doesn't have a proper release date yet.
