Halo 5: Agent Locke to Play a “Really Important Role;” Has “More Nuance than Straight Heroics”
During the Halofest livestream yesterday we saw the first glimpses on Halo 5: Guarians‘ multiplayer, but during the festivities we also learned a few tidbits of information about the single player campaign of the upcoming Xbox One exclusive.
Rumor had it that Jameson Locke would play a primary role in the campaign, and yesterday it was confirmed directly by the developers.
Tonight we’re actually showing the first couple of episodes for Nightfall and Nightfall actually introduces a brand new character to the Halo universe in agent Locke. He’s gonna play a Really important role in the campaign for Halo 5: Guardians.
We also learn that Locke isn’t just a full-blown hero like Master Chief, but he might be hiding a bit of a dark side. The developers hope that people will hopefully “learn to love him and maybe be suspicious of him. There’s a little more nuance to this character than straight heroics”
He definitely seems an interesting character, and we’re going to learn more about him next year:
You’ll find out a lot more about Locke in 2015 when Halo 5: Guardians Launches.
Will Locke manage to become as popular as Master Chief? Those are definitely big shoes to fill.
