Microsoft just updated the Xbox One preview dashboard mentioning that all preview members will get early access to the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta starting tomorrow and until December 21st.

According to the message, this early access will include only content from the first week of the beta. The full thing, starting on December 29th, will include seven maps, three game types and "a host of weapons" to be released across the three-week period.

Tomorrow preview members will receive a message on their Xbox One including two codes: the first will be used to download the beta. The second downloads a bit of code which will actually grant access to the content. Both need to be used in order to play.

The message also warns users against the temptation to sell or trade the codes, as any attempt to do so will result in consequences like the removal from the preview program and the exclusion from any future participation.

According to 343 Industries, the beta is considered a "working beta" and represents a "work-in-progress snapshot" of the game in production. It's the earliest beta of the history of the Halo franchise and the focus is on testing the gameplay systems and services in order to improve them for release, so bugs are to be expected and the visuals won't be representative of the final product.
