As one of the marquee titles for Xbox owners this holiday season, Halo Infinite has been one of the most anticipated titles of the year so far. By calling back to the style and tone of the original Combat Evolved, Halo Infinite so far looks like it's being made in the style of what fans love most about the series with modern enhancements. However, in the tradition of great fan demakes, we now know what the anticipated Xbox title would look like if it were made in the style of classic N64 games, blurry pixels and all.YouTuber Hoolopee shared his own reimagining of Halo Infinite made in the style of '90s-era N64 games, and from its blocky visuals to its use of iconic N64 game sounds, the video definitely looks and plays the part of an N64 demake. The video itself recreates a segment from the Infinite gameplay footage that was shown during the Xbox Games Showcase last month, and you can take a look at the full video for yourself below:

Since the debut of its first gameplay footage at the Xbox Games Showcase, Infinite has come under a bit of scrutiny from fans online due to its visual quality, especially from the infamous Craig the Brute meme. As one of the biggest games to launch with the Xbox Series X this holiday season, the criticism comes from a perceived disappointment that the game isn't taking full advantage of the Xbox Series X's capabilities and that it's being held back by also arriving for Xbox One. However, 343 Industries has been upfront about changes and optimizations that are still being made to Infinite in the buildup to its release, along with highlighting that the game is aiming for "the legacy aesthetics that defined the original trilogy."

Halo Infinite will release for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC in holiday 2020.
