The Halo series has always been known for its incredibly satisfying first-person gunplay, but watching the latest entry of the franchise, Infinite, running with a third-person mod, might convince you that a third-person Halo would also be a solid experience.

Halo Infinite was Microsoft's biggest surprise in 2021 that delivered what fans have been anticipating for a long time. A new Halo experience that stays loyal to the origins of the franchise. While most of the gamers liked Halo Infinite's campaign mode, the game lost a lot of players in free-to-play multiplayer over time, up to a point that it's not even among the top 100 Steam games with the most concurrent players.

That being said, modders are still trying to craft some new experiences out of the campaign mode. Recently, we have come across a mod that turns the game into a solid third-person shooter!

Halo Infinite Now Has a Solid Third-Person Mod

Created by Opulent Halo, the third-person mod in Halo Infinite looks and plays surprisingly great, as if the game was made in third-person from the ground up.

One thing that really caught my attention was how satisfying it is when you use Grappling Hook in third-person mode while witnessing all your surroundings. Of course, with this mod, Halo Infinite's campaign could be much easier, especially in the outdoor battles, where you can have a better awareness of enemy location and their movements.

This is a free mod and you can download and install it from here.

Halo Infinite is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. You can play it for free if you are an Xbox or PC Game Pass subscriber.
