If you were waiting for the newest Halo Wars 2 DLC, Colony, then you're out of luck, at least for a while. 343 Industries has announced that the newest DLC is on hold, at least for a little bit.

The problem that 343 Industries cited is what they called a "game-breaking bug." The bug had to do with the new Skitter Unit feature within the game, which are mini-turrets that can be attached to the side of any friendly unit. These turrets are self targeting, however, developers noticed that when ever it would start to fire the turrets would continue to fire with "zero regard to range or sight." This means that players would essentially be able auto-target on enemies at any distance. As one can imagine, this really isn't fair.

343 said that the DLC should be released next week, if all goes well.

In addition, the studio also announced some new achievements for the DLC, which can be found below:

  • Hunter/Hunted - User Hunter Captain's Taunt ability 50 times
  • Turrets Everywhere - Attach 50 Skitterers to squads

Halo Wars 2 was released on February 21st, 2017. It was was released on both Windows and Xbox One. However, the game is a part of the Xbox Play Anywhere Program, which means if you purchase the game digitally, you will get a playable version for both Xbox One and PC. The plan for the DLC includes monthly releases, with the entire plan including a campaign expansion, as well as new units, leaders, and cards.
