Halo Wars: Definitive Edition Coming to Steam on April 20

Halo Wars: Definitive Edition will bring its Halo-flavored brand of strategy to Steam players on PC later this week, with the release on April 20.

April 20 is known around the world as a day to celebrate…of course, that’s in reference to the upcoming release of Halo Wars: Definitive Edition, and for nothing else entirely.

A new Steam listing has appeared for Halo Wars: Definitive Edition with a release date set for April 20th, 2017 (via Wario64), with the release providing a brand new Steam version of the game for all to enjoy after it appeared (initially) as an incentive with Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition on Xbox One and PC.

Included in the Definitive Edition of the game is the original Halo Wars experience with “improved graphics, new achievements and all the DLC from the landmark game,” according to the game’s Steam listing. However, the listing does specify that multiplayer for the release is tied specifically tied to Steam, as the game is not compatible with cross-play on the Windows Store version of the game.

Halo Wars: Definitive Edition  is available now for Xbox One and PC, with the game’s Steam release to arrive on April 20th, 2017.
