Happy Face: Tales of Xillia Ships Half a Million Copies

on September 9, 2011 11:00 AM

We all know there’s a difference between the amount of copies shipped and the amount of copies sold, right? Well, really it doesn’t matter a whole lot, but half a million copies is a gigantic number of units for such a small country. This is in Japan folks, where there were probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 200,000 pre-orders alone. That is an astounding success which could be compared to the launch of a numbered Final Fantasy game (in Japan) or a Call of Duty game (in the West).

This means Namco Bandai is rolling in the dough and has more than enough resources to give us an awesome English localization, right? RIGHT?!
