Today, Jam City and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment give us a glimpse of what to expect from its upcoming mobile RPG based on the popular fantasy franchise, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, in a brand new trailer.
Unlike the previous trailer — which gave brief and vague descriptions of what you will do at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry — the one seen below flaunts actual gameplay.
In Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, you will create your own witch or wizard and experience what it’s like to be a student at Hogwarts. You will choose your house, learn new spells, craft potions, and explore the depths of the castle. Since the game is set prior to the events of the books, all of your favorite professors like Professor Snape, Professor Dumbledore, and Professor McGonagall are still present in the castle and will aid throughout your time at Hogwarts.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery was announced in December as one of two titles under Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s Portkey Games, a new label dedicated to the wizarding franchise. The second game is Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, another mobile game developed by Pokemon Go creators, Niantic.
While no specific date is given, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is set to launch on mobile devices via the App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore in Spring 2018.
