Today, Natsume Inc. has revealed the new features Harvest Moons fans can expect from Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition.

According to the press release, Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition console versions will include a new character in the game named Soleil, a Gem Sprite with a mysterious past. During the game, players will be tasked with introducing Soleil to the outside world.

In addition to a new character, Special Edition will also include co-op, with one playing assuming the role of the farmer and another controlling Soleil. New content will also be added in the form DLC add-ons as well as a Season Pass.

Initially released late last year on PC to commemorate the Harvest Moon series’ 20th anniversary, Harvest Moon: Light of Hope takes place in a small harbor town that has been left in shambles after a storm. Gamers are tasked with assisting the residents in rebuilding the town and the lighthouse.

You can check out some a screenshot of Soleil as well as new gameplay footage of co-op mode in action. For more information on the game, check out a few screenshots from the PC version, as well as the debut trailer for the game.

Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition is slated to launch this May for $39.99.
